This blog was started to provide a place to document, reflect on and share interesting resources and ideas I come across in my practice.
I have an interest in Contemporary Learning as I have participated in the Contemporary Learning Research Project, and value the powerful learning opportunities and positive student outcomes that have resulted from this practice.
As a P-12 teacher, my posts are intended to be applicable in any classroom, though sometimes may not be. I have taught years/grades 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 3, 4, 2 and 1.
This blog is a place for fellow educators and preservice teachers to share ideas and to make the most of any teaching environment that they may find themselves working in. My entries are not for the purposes of promoting or defending any teaching styles or educational approaches.
Schools and the teachers within them do not have an identical approach to teaching and learning.
If you have any particular questions concerning the content of this blog or the education practices in the school that your child currently attends, or will attend, please direct your questions to your child’s school.
Some of these posts may also have been shared on other blogs I am involved in and I may have altered posts for different purposes.
The views expressed on this blog are of my own opinion and do not necessarily reflect those of my employer.
